Besides traditional coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve replacement, the most modern surgical techniques are performed: Ross procedure (the most important series in South America), ventricular remodelling, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, minimally invasive surgery, off-pump CABG, complete arterial revascularization, and surgery for chronic atrial fibrillation combined with mitral valve surgery. It is the most active center for acute aortic dissection and vascular surgery.

We have the most experienced heart valve surgery program in South America, with approximately 700 surgeries of different kinds (valve repair, valve replacement with stentless prostheses, Ross procedure, homografts, etc.) performed each year. Our homograft bank allows us to implant aortic and pulmonary homografts.

An adequate anesthetic management enhances the safety of high-risk patients.
