Nephrology, Urology and Renal Transplantation
The Renal Unit provides diagnosis and treatment for any patient, including those with increased cardiovascular risk or a transplanted organ, and a full spectrum of therapies for kidney failure. The professional team, whose members completed their training outside the country, mainly in France, is one of the most experienced in kidney-related diseases of Argentina, especially as regards nephrologic intensive care. The continuous interaction with other areas, such as Hypertension, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery and transplantation of other organs, contribute to a multidisciplinary approach of the diseases.
Renal transplantation, both cadaveric and living donor, is offered as an alternative for renal failure. Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis are performed in the frame of an agreement with Renal Therapy Service (RTS)-Baxter.
