The institute houses one of the most active transplantation programs. Our teams perform heart, lung, double-lung, and heart-lung transplants in adults and children. The artificial heart and other devices are used as a bridge to transplant.

A team of specialists in psychology provides support to both patient and family before, during and after surgery and offers professional advice on prevention, treatment of stress and or risk factors that may affect the quality of living, educational programs for the community, and social networks for transplantation patients.
